Pantone has declared 2013's color of the year to be Emerald Green. For me, this hue evokes a feeling of rich earthy comfort. As much as I like the color green, I have strayed away from using it in my own home since I bought my first sofa many eons ago...which was...you guessed it...Emerald Green! Maybe I'll have to bring this color back into my life (in small doses)!
